Recording ServicesFor everything from live band demo's to complete CD projects, the TecStiX focus is to provide a comfortable environment, an enjoyable experience, and a high quality result. Studio RecordingThe principal feature of TecStiX Productions is a 32 track recording studio. Key features of the studio include 32 tracks of ADAT or Pro-Tools recording, separate control room (w/video monitoring and 32 channel mixer), and CD-R or DAT mastering capabilities for final mixes. The ability to record up to 32 tracks simultaneously sets the TecStiX Studio apart from typical "Project Studios" and provides the perfect environment for high quality live demos as well as more detailed CD projects. Live Event RecordingTecStiX Productions also offers multi-track live performance recording. For a given gig, TecStiX will record the entire performance in 16 (or 24) track 24 bit digital multi-track. A live stereo mix will also be recorded for reference so you can choose specific songs for a more critical mix in the studio. Re-tracking of individual parts may be possible as well (depending on "stage bleed"). This is the most convenient method for a working band to record a quality multi-track demo. On selected Monday nights TecStiX Productions records the Monday Night Pro Blues Jam at Murphy's Law in Sunnyvale, CA. Come on down and check it out. You can look into the recording set-up and process and, if you bring your instrument, you can sit in and play with some of the best blues artists in the Bay Area. Click here to hear some audio samples (look under Live Demo's for Monday Night Blues Jams). Contact TecStiX Productions for scheduled recording dates. Extra ResourcesIn addition to a full range of audio processing equipment, TecStiX keeps available a selection of professional instruments that may be used to enhance any given project, if so desired (including keyboards, guitars, and most especially drum and percussion instruments). Professional Musicians are also available for hire at reasonable rates to further enhance your project. Byron, the TecStiX proprietor, is also available for percussion and drum parts. TecStiX also maintains a small inventory of instrument supplies, recording supplies, and accessories available at low prices (picks, sticks, strings, cords, velcro cable ties, wrap-around cable labels, cassette blanks/labels). Primarily, this is to diminish the recording session frustration of "Damn, I forgot my ____" or "Shoot, my cord went bad". |
