Live Recording

The standard fee for Live (on Site) Recording is $250 (plus $50 for  a hard drive or data DVD archival/delivery) for recording a typical club gig.  Included in this package is:

bulletA 16-track recording of the entire night (up to 4 hours)  [24-track available for $300, if needed]
bulletTwo copies of a stereo mix done "as it happens" on CD-R (typically one per set)
bulletArchival/delivery of 24 bit, 44.1KHz multi-track files on hard disc or data DVD (as ordered)
bullet10% discounted rate for follow-up studio mixing or re-tracking.

For an additional $100 fee, TecStiX will also provide a PA system (two mains, a sub, 2 vocal monitors, and all needed microphones, DI's, power amps, mixer, for a typical 5-piece band) and run the "front of house" sound.  Note that the live "as it happens" mix may suffer a little as primary focus will have to be on the house mix.  No degradation to the multi-track files at all.  Up to twice the PA listed is available for larger venues.

$50 typ.		 For any given project, there may be a single non-refundable deposit based on project complexity and studio usage or advance booking.  Additional charges may apply for later project changes.

Live Audio

Due to wide variation of equipment needs, complexity of set-up, venue conditions, and event duration, Live Audio Support pricing is negotiated on an individual event basis.  Pricing starts at $150 to $200 for PA and soundman for a typical small club gig.

Technical Services

Base pricing for Technical Services is $40/hr with modifiers to be negotiated on the particulars of each job.

Education Services

Base pricing for Tutorial Services is $40/hour.  Additional charges for texts and/or other class materials may be required.  Sessions are typically held at TecStiX Studios in Mountain View, Ca.  A travel fee may be required for "house calls".

Media Duplication Services

Base pricing for duplication of vinyl to CD-R is $25.  Album cover duplication, full color printing on the CD, and additional copies are $5 ea.  Contact TecStiX for pricing on other duplication services (ADAT to Pro Tools, etc... ).

Note:  Customer must own the original recording for any duplication service. 
Duplicating copyrighted material for distribution or sale is illegal.
